Looking for an under 15-minute delicious and healthy snack that only requires 4-ingredients? Check out these apple rings! All you need to do is slice your apple, cut your tortilla into strips, wrap it around your apple rings then top with coconut sugar and cinnamon and pop them in the air fryer for 6-8 minutes! They're so easy and delish!

    Apples

I wanted to make a deconstructed apple pie but make it faster in the air fryer and have the apple share the stardom with the tortilla strips.

Apples are high in fiber (especially if you keep the skin on), vitamin C, and antioxidants making them a great snack or dessert! For this recipe, I used organic honeycrisp apples. Feel free to use whichever apples are your favorite, you really can't go wrong.

    The Tortilla Wrapping and Tricks

The trickiest part of this recipe is wrapping the tortilla strips around the apple rings you've created. Start with one side of the tortilla then wrap it around the apple going through the middle. If you want to make smaller tortilla strips, you can have more circles around your apple and more tortillas vs. my 5-8 wrappings. I used about ¼- ⅕ of a tortilla per each apple ring. My go to tortillas are from Rise & Puff, I love that they only have 4 ingredients and are so flakey, perfect for this recipe! If you're gluten- free, they also have a great gluten-free tortilla!

If you're finding it difficult for the tortilla to stick to the apple, press down on the ends of the tortilla into the apple a bit and it should stick. If not, then try to have the ends be on the bottom of the apple rings and the weight of the apple will help keep the tortilla strips in place.

Finishing Touches on the Apple Rings

Prior to letting them cook in the air fryer, spray with a bit of avocado oil then add some cinnamon and coconut sugar on top. The avocado oil will help brown the top and the coconut sugar and cinnamon add more flavor and a bit more sweetness.

Feel free to omit the coconut sugar if you like your treats a bit more tart. The apple itself is pretty sweet!

    Apple Rings

These apple rings are the perfect snack or dessert. They taste similar to apple pies and are far less labor intensive!
