I love a good bagel, and I'm super pick about bagel places nearby. In general, the bad bagels are easy to separate, the great bagels are few and far between, and the common bagel is the average bagel. Lucky for you, after you try this recipe, there will be no common average bagels here. These 4 ingredient everything bagels are super simple to make and have a wonderfully fluffy texture. The first time I made them, I couldn't believe they turned out so well!
4-Ingredient Bagels
These bagels only require 4 simple ingredients (okay okay, technically there are more than 4 if you count the everything but the bagel seasoning blend... but let's just say 4 ingredients are needed for the base of the bagel pre seasoning). Flour, salt, baking powder, and yogurt. If you're vegan, feel free to use non-dairy yogurt. I like a good greek yogurt to add more protein into my breakfast and I love Siggis yogurt (non-dairy or dairy) just make sure to get plain.
All you need to do is combine all 4 ingredients, knead, then shape into a circle. Then stick them in the oven at 350F for 20-25 minutes.
Toppings
After they're finished, you get to think about the toppings (my favorite part)! Some days, I like having a simple cream cheese or tofu cream cheese on top. Other days, I'll really dress these bagels up with cucumbers, fresh dill, capers, and red onions. I like to view a bagel as a vehicle for toppings (at least some days when I'm going super gourmet), other days, it pairs perfectly with some nut butter.

4 Ingredient Everything Bagels
Ingredients
- 1 ¾ cups Flour Can substitute gluten-free flour if needed
- 2 teaspoon Baking Powder
- 1 cup Non-Dairy Yogurt I used HarmlessHarvest
- ½ teaspoon Salt
- 2 - 3 tablespoon Everything but the Bagel Seasoning
Instructions
- If you're not using an air fryer, preheat your oven to 350F
- Mix your flour, baking soda, salt, and yogurt together with a rubber spatula
- Place your dough on a floured surface and knead for 2 minutes. The dough shouldn’t stick to your fingers, if it does, add some more flour until it is less sticky
- Cut your dough into 4 quadrants. Then, to shape your bagel, take 1 of the 4 sections and roll it into a thick line. Connect the two ends to create a circle. Repeat with all 4 sections to form 4 bagels
- Combine all of your seasoning spices on a plate
- Spray some avocado oil over the tops of all 4 bagels then dip each bagel into your seasoning plate ensuring they are well coated
- Place them in the air fryer for 16 minutes at 300F then take them out. Spritz with avocado oil, then put them back in the air fryer at 380F for an additional 4 minutes to brown. If you don’t have an air fryer, you can bake these bagels in a 350F oven for 20-25 minutes
- Enjoy with some butter or cream cheese, perhaps some nut butter
- Store these at room temperature for up to 3 days in an airtight container. You can also freeze these for up to 3 months in an airtight container and defrost
