This air fryer bagel comes together in 30-minutes and has the best topping! Whip together a za'atar, fennel, coriander, cumin, sesame seeds, and salt mixture to spread on top of the 4 ingredient bagel. Put it in the air fryer for 15-20 minutes and top with your favorite cream cheese (I'd suggest my tofu chive cream cheese).
4-Ingredient Bagels
These bagels only require 4 simple ingredients. Flour, salt, baking powder, and non-dairy yogurt. If you're not vegan, feel free to use dairy yogurt. I like a good non-dairy greek yogurt to add more protein into my breakfast. I've also tried this recipe with coconut yogurt and it is equally delicious.
All you need to do is combine all 4 ingredients, knead, then shape into a circle. Then stick them in the air fryer.

Wait, You Can Make Bagels in an Air Fryer?
YES! You can! Isn't it awesome! I've tried making these bagels both in the air fryer and in the oven and they turn out well in both. I love the ease of the air fryer, it makes a recipe seem more approachable. If you don't have an air fryer you can make these in the oven 350F for 20-25 minutes.
The Seasoning Blend
This seasoning blend is my favorite part about this bagel. I recently went to a bagel shop in Grand Rapids, Michigan where they had a "Dukkah" seasoning on top of their bagel. Being curious, I gave it a try. I fell in LOVE with this seasoning and wanted to put my own spin of it back at home. For this recipe, I combined Za'atar, sesame seeds, fennel (underrated!), coriander, cumin, and sea salt flakes. It's a burst of flavor and so delicious!

Air Fryer Bagels with Za'atar Seasoning
Ingredients
- 1 ¼ cup flour
- 2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup non dairy yogurt
Seasoning
- 1 teaspoon za'atar
- ½ teaspoon cumin
- ½ teaspoon coriander
- 1 teaspoon fennel
- ½ teaspoon sea salt flakes
- ½ teaspoon sesame seeds
- Avocado oil spray
Instructions
- Mix your flour, baking soda, salt, and yogurt together with a rubber spatula
- Place your dough on a floured surface and knead for 2 minutes. The dough shouldn’t stick to your fingers, if it does, add some more flour until it is less sticky
- Cut your dough into 4 quadrants. Then, to shape your bagel, take 1 of the 4 sections and roll it into a thick line. Connect the two ends to create a circle. Repeat with all 4 sections to form 4 bagels
- Combine all of your seasoning spices on a plate
- Spray some avocado oil over the tops of all 4 bagels then dip each bagel into your seasoning plate ensuring they are well coated
- Place them in the air fryer for 16 minutes at 300F then take them out. Spritz with avocado oil, then put them back in the air fryer at 380F for an additional 4 minutes to brown. If you don’t have an air fryer, you can bake these bagels in a 350F oven for 20-25 minutes
- Enjoy with some butter or cream cheese, perhaps some nut butter
- Store these at room temperature for up to 3 days in an airtight container. You can also freeze these for up to 3 months in an airtight container and defrost
