Wild Blueberry Smoothie Bowl
Blend wild blueberries, mangoes, and strawberries with minimal liquid until thick. Serve in a bowl and customize with toppings like granola, fresh fruit, and seeds for a delicious, nutrient-rich breakfast.
Prep Time 10 minutes mins
Total Time 10 minutes mins
- 1 cup frozen blueberries
- ½ cup frozen mangoes
- ½ cup frozen strawberries
- 2 frozen bananas
- ¼-1/2 cup non-dairy milk to start
Toppings
- Chia Seeds
- Hemp Seeds
- Fresh Fruit (bananas, strawberries, blueberries)
- Granola (nuts, dry fruit, chocolate)
Combine all of the ingredients in a blender.
The trick to getting thick smoothie bowls (my favorite) is to start with a small amount of liquid at the bottom of the blender, then pile on your frozen fruits and finally powders on top. The frozen fruits (especially bananas) help make it thick
Start blending and use a “blender plunger” to move the fruits around and incorporate more
You can add more liquid if your fruit is getting too stuck. I recommend starting with ¼ cup of non-dairy milk then add more when needed
Top with whatever toppings you’d like and enjoy!
This is best eaten immediately but you can store it in your fridge for 1-2 days.
